Day 1 – Naples: arrival and transfer to Sorrento

Upon landing of your flight at Capodichino airport in Naples, you will be met and chauffeured by private English-speaking driver to your lovely Hotel in Sorrento : Maison Tofani, very centrally located. We will book a lovely Junior Suite with balcony facing the old city center. Time at leisure in town. Overnight in Sorrento While staying at the Maison Tofani, an elegant relais located in the historical centre of Sorrento, you will have the feeling of being surrounded by an atmosphere rich in history and charm. The picturesque entrance is that of a typical courtyard in a Neapolitan palace. The rooms are furnished with taste and elegance and equipped with all comforts, particularly suitable for the stay of even the most demanding and selective clientele. Nearby there are: Piazza Tasso, Terranova Correale Museum, the Cathedral, Villa Comunale, shopping streets, the port, the local train station and car parks. After sightseeing tours and shopping, you can relax and enjoy a tea in the evocative room called “The Four Continents” or a drink in the room called “Europe”, whose ceilings are adorned with works on canvas of the eighteenth century. Day 2 – Sorrento: Private tour of the Amalfi Coast

After breakfast at your hotel, you will be met by your private English-speaking driver for a full day tour along the Amalfi Coast. He will drive you along the enchanting route of the “Divine Coast”: on the way, you will have stops at some panoramic viewpoints to take some breathtaking pictures. Then, you will have free time to discover and relax on the top part of Positano, a small village with Mediterranean styled pure white washed houses covered with bright pink bougainvillea on the facades. On the way to Amalfi, one of the oldest Maritime Republics, you will have free time for lunch at leisure. You can choose between a lunch overlooking the sea or in a tiny Italian “piazza” surrounded by the typical southern Italian scenery. After lunch, free time to wander through the labyrinth of streets and alleys and admire the magnificent and imposing facade of the cathedral of Saint Andrea with her unique Arab Norman and Romanesque Style. Later, your driver will escort you to Ravello for relaxing moments on top of the picturesque square where you will admire the magnificent panorama that has inspired poets, philosophers and beauty lovers for many centuries. After this tour, your driver will be ready to take you back to your hotel in Sorrento. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight in Sorrento.

Day 3 – Sorrento: Lemon tour with limoncello tasting and Cooking Class with lunch

In the heart of Sorrento, a 4th generation family will welcome you into their very own ‘green living room’, illustrating with experience and passion, ‘The lemon’ and the history of their amazing lemon groves. This nursery plant tour consists of a lab with an introduction to the ‘ovale sorrentino’ lemon history, a planting demonstration, the plantation and pruning of this unique lemon plant. An sensorial and cultural experience dedicated to the green fingers of one of the most important plants in the world. Today’s day experience will continue to another pleasant and exciting place in the countryside of Sorrento (about 10 km away) for a special gourmand experience. A true farmhouse where products from the garden are cultivated by local farmers and brought fresh to the table. Those who wish to participate in farm activities like this are more than welcome. A small hill immersed between sea and land where days go by slowly and the noisy city chaos is nowhere to be seen or heard here. In the farmhouse, you will experience the hidden side of the true Amalfi Coast, made up of strong citrus plant perfume with narrow paths through the beautiful landscape which bring you straight down to the beach, experiencing it all at a slow and easy farmhouse pace. After breakfast, meet your private English-speaking driver at your hotel and transfer to the farmhouse . Together with your English-speaking chef-guide, you will pick your vegetables from the garden: with these ingredients, you will create a typical local menu. The chef will show you how to create tasty pasta dishes, incorporating her own special recipes. You will learn the secrets of traditional Italian Cuisine during your 4 hour cooking class. Day 5 – Sorrento to Naples with stop in Pompeii with lunch and wine tasting - CHRISTMAS EVE

Breakfast at the hotel and check out. Meet your private English-speaking driver for a first stop in Pompeii. You will admire the ruins of this famous city that, in AD 79 was submerged by lava and ashes from the nearby volcanic eruption of Mt Vesuvius. You will be able to examine up close the daily life of this Roman population and how it was devastated by one of the worst natural disasters in ancient history. The excavations of Pompeii are, due to their importance and relevance, the most visited archeological site in the world. After the visit you will be chauffeured to a winery settled close to the Archeological Site of Pompeii. Here, you will enjoy a guided tour inside the 4 hectares of the property, besides historical witnesses, vineyards and elegant cellars, a visit to the Museum of Wine in an Ancient Building from the 16th century. The tour will wind up with a Wine Tasting and the tasting of traditional Neapolitan dishes and even some ancient roman dishes. Day 7 – Naples: AM Coffee experience tour in an old recommended roastery and PM highlights tour in Naples

Today, we suggest you do not have breakfast at the hotel so as to appreciate even more this mornings tour in one of the Italian coffee excellences. A journey through the origins, where coffee, their plantation history, the collecting of exposed coffee will be described to you according to the availability of the period. The Coffee Specialist will prepare you an excellent cup of: filter coffee, cappuccino, Single Origins espresso. You can sit down and savor the difference and listen the history of coffee whilst tasting your special coffee or big cappuccino or café latte with a typical patisserie of the Neapolitan tradition, choose between short pastry and curly puff. Lunch at leisure. In the afternoon, meet your English-speaking guide for an exciting tour of the highlights of Naples. Day 8 – Naples: The Royal Palace in Caserta

Breakfast at the hotel. Meet your English-speaking driver and guide and reach the beautiful Royal Palace in Caserta. A combination of influences from Versailles, Rome, and Tuscany, the Caserta Royal Palace and Park, north of Naples, was designed according to the wishes of Charles of Bourbon III by Luigi Vanvitelli, one of the greatest Italian architects of the 18th century. Caserta is considered a triumph of Italian Baroque, and ahead of its time. Expanding across 11 acres, the garden's pools, fountains and cascades are aligned through a 'telescope effect', extending as far as the eye can see. One of the last great European gardens, Caserta Royal Palace and Park borrowed from creations such as Versailles and the 16th century villas in Rome and Tuscany. But unlike these sites, this Italian masterpiece combines manicured gardens and natural woodland, with hunting lodges and even a silk factory. Enjoy this incredible visit and later return to Naples.
