Day 1 – Venice: Arrival

Upon arrival at Marco Polo Airport of Venice, you will be greeted by your private English speaking driver with water taxi and direct transfer to your centrally located accommodation: Hotel Ca’ dei Conti 4****. Check in and rest of the day at your leisure. Overnight in Venice.

Day 2 – Venice, Walking tour

Breakfast at the hotel. Then, you will meet your private English speaking guide and begin the walking city tour. The heart of Venice is a square: Saint Mark's Square. Entering in San Marco square by the two monumental columns in front of the lagoon (the so-called “water square”), near the Bridge of Sighs, suddenly we can admire the history of the Republic of Venice displayed: we can see the Doge’s Palace (from outside), seat of government and center of political and administrative life of the city, the Basilica (from inside), with its golden mosaics and precious marbles, the Clock Tower and the Bell Tower. The walk then leads to the Grand Canal and to the famous Rialto Bridge through beautiful and hidden corners. At the end of your tour you will have the rest of the day at your leisure. Overnight in Venice.

Day 3 – Venice / Florence

After breakfast and check out at your hotel, your private water taxi will be available for a transfer to the railway station. Here, you will take a fast train to Florence where you will get in about 2 hours. Upon arrival, you will reach your accommodation on your own: Hotel Monna Lisa 4****. Check in at the hotel and rest of the day at your leisure. Overnight in Florence.

Day 4 – Florence: walking city tour and Uffizi Gallery

After breakfast you will meet your personal guide at your hotel who will bring you leisurely on a walking tour of the city center, including the visit at the Uffizi Gallery. The Gallery houses a superb collection of priceless art, originating in great part from the Medici family collection, enriched over the centuries by endowments, exchanges and donations, among which an important group of religious works stands out, resulting from the suppression of the monasteries and convents between the XVIII and XIX centuries. Here, you will find the richest collection in the world of works of the Tuscan school, Florentine in particular, among which: Cimabue, Michelangelo, Giotto, Leonardo da Vinci and Raffaello. Without parallel is the collection of works by Sandro Botticelli. After the tour, you will have free time at your leisure. Overnight in Florence.

Day 5 – Florence: Montepulciano and Montalcino

After a gourmet breakfast at your hotel, you will be ready for a splendid day: you will discover Montepulciano and Montalcino. You will be chauffeured in luxury car from the magnificent medieval village of Montepulciano and taken to one of the most famous wineries in the region, home to the Vino Nobile di Montepulciano (meticulously produced with 100% Sangiovese grapes: those that the Tuscans define as “the true table wine”). Here, you will be able to visit the historic cellars that dates back to the 16th century and visiting them is like stepping back time. The brick passageways contain a series of vaults and niches where the barrels are placed. Inside the Historic Cellar, there are huge oak barrels where Vino Nobile di Montepulciano is aged for two years and three years for the Vino Nobile Riserva. After the visit, you will taste the wines, guided by an expert wine steward and accompanied by a variety of delicious local delicacies including local products, coldcuts and aged Pecorino from Pienza. After this visit, continue to another marvelous village: Montalcino. Here you will enjoy a winery that is the first winery in Italy with a full female staff, that produces one of the best Brunello di Montalcino of the area. Enjoy a visit of the winery, which we hope will leave you with lasting memories of this day and the flavors that have tantalized your palate, and, of course have a wine tasting with their marvelous wines, including the renowned Brunello Riserva. After the visit you have a light lunch with the delicious and typical Tuscan dishes. Transfer back in the afternoon with your private driver to your hotel. Overnight in Sorrento.

Day 6 – Florence / Sorrento

After breakfast and check out, meet your private English speaking driver at your hotel and transfer to Florence railway station for your fast train to Naples. Meet here your English speaking driver for a direct transfer to your hotel in Sorrento: Maison Tofani 4****. Check in and rest of the day at your leisure. Overnight in Sorrento.

Day 7 – Sorrento: Amalfi coast tour

After breakfast at your hotel, you will meet your personal English speaking driver for a full day tour along the Amalfi Coast. Along the way, you will have stops for panoramic viewpoint to make some breathtaking pictures. Then, you will have free time to discover and relax on the top of Positano, a small village with Mediterranean styled pure white houses with bougainvillea plants that cover part of the facades. At the end of your visit, your driver will bring you to the nearby Amalfi, one of the oldest maritime republics. Here, you will have free time for lunch, at your leisure. You can choose a lunch overlooking the sea or in a typical little Italian “piazza” surrounded by typically southern Italian scenery. After lunch, free time to wander through the labyrinthine streets and admire the magnificent and imposing facade of the cathedral of Saint Andrea with her unique Arab Norman and Romanesque Style. Later, your driver will escort you to Ravello for relaxing moments on the pittoresque square where you will admire the magnificent panorama who inspired poets, philosophers and beauty lovers of any time. After this tour, your driver will be ready to take you back to your hotel in Sorrento. Rest of the day at your leisure. Overnight in Sorrento.

Day 8 – Sorrento free day

Today you will be free to explore the area at your leisure. We suggest you to visit the wonderful island of Capri, really a jewel of this area. You can easily buy the public ferry tickets at Sorrento’s port. Overnight in Sorrento.

Day 9 – Naples / Rome

After breakfast and check out at your hotel, meet your private English speaking driver for a direct transfer to the railway station in Naples. With a fast train, you will reach Rome in about 1 hour and 15 minute. Upon arrival, you will be free to reach your hotel on your own: Hotel Romanico Palace 4****. Check in and rest of the day at your leisure. Overnight in Rome.

Day 10 – Rome: Vatican Museums or Ancient Rome and highlights of Rome

After breakfast at your hotel, meet your driver-guide and together, you will discover the most important highlights of Rome: Fontana di Trevi, famous all over the world and immortalized in various films. Here you will be able to partake in the local legend: if you throw a coin into the water from over your shoulder, then you are certain to come back to Rome. From here, you will head to the Spanish Steps and its Barcaccia and then to Piazza del Pantheon, also adorned with a magnificent fountain. The final stop will be at Piazza Navona, where you will be able to admire three very famous fountains: Fontana del Moro, Fontana del Nettuno and Fontana dei Quattro Fiumi. There is a popular legend around this fountain: the River- God representing the Rio della Plata appears to be covering his own eyes, as if the sculpture was fearing about a collapse of the bell tower of the church of Sant’Agnese in Agone built by Bernini's rival, Borromini). At the end of the tour, you will have some free time for lunch. For the afternoon tour you can choose between the Vatican City guided tour or the Ancient Rome guided tour. - The Vatican City tour includes Vatican Museum, Sistine Chapel and St. Peter’s Basilica, here your specialist guide introduces you to the masterpieces of such great painters as Raffaello and Michelangelo. This is one of the greatest collections of art in the world, a collection gathered over the centuries by the Popes of the Catholic Church. - The Ancient Rome tour includes the ancient part of the Eternal city: Colosseum and Imperial Fora. Day 11 – Rome departure

After breakfast and check out, according to your departure flight, meet at your hotel your private English speaking driver for a direct transfer to Rome International airport to get your flight back home.
