Day 1 – Rome arrival
After your arrival at Rome’s airport you will be greeted by you private English speaking driver for a direct transfer to your hotel: Hotel Romanico Palace 4****. Check in and free time at your leisure. Overnight in Rome.
Day 2 – Rome: Vatican Museums
Breakfast at your hotel. Meet your personal English speaking guide at your hotel and together you will reach with a private taxi at your expenses the Vatican Museums. Once there, your specialist guide will introduce you to the masterpieces of such great painters as Raffaello, Michelangelo and Leonardo da Vinci. This one of the greatest collections of art in the world, a collection gathered over the centuries by the Popes of the Catholic Church. You will be enthralled and enchanted by the stunning vision of the Sistine Chapel and also continuing on to the Cortile della Pigna ( "Court of the Pinecone" ) and the celebrated Raphael’s rooms, and finally direct access into Saint Peter's Basilica; a sacred place designed and executed by some of the greatest architects of the XV century, from Bramante to Michelangelo and from Raffaello to Bernini. At the end of the tour you will be free to spend the rest of the day at your leisure. Overnight in Rome.
Day 3 – Ancient Rome
After breakfast, you will meet your private English speaking guide at the hotel and together you will reach with a private taxi, at your expenses, the Ancient part of the Eternal city: Colosseum and Imperial Fora. With direct access to this remarkable landmark and no waiting in long lines, you will be awestruck even before entering. Once inside, your personal guide will bring to life the ancient world of the various emperors, noblemen, aristocrats, gladiators and wild beasts that once populated this building. You will then be accompanied to the nearby Roman Forum, known as the "heart" of ancient Rome, and the commercial, political and religious center. After this visit you will have the rest of the day at your leisure.
Day 4 – Rome / Florence
After breakfast, reach with a private taxi, at your own expenses, Rome Termini train station to get your direct fast train to reach Florence (about 1 hour and 30 minutes). After your arrival in Florence S. M. Novella train station you will reach with a taxi at your expenses your hotel in Florence: Hotel Monna Lisa 4****. Check in and rest of the day at your leisure.
Day 5 – Florence: Uffizi Gallery
After breakfast, you will meet your personal guide at your hotel, who will bring you leisurely on a walking tour of the city including the visit at the Uffizi Gallery. The Gallery houses a superb collection of priceless art, originating in great part from the Medici family collection, enriched over the centuries by endowments, exchanges and donations, among which an important group of religious works stands out, resulting from the suppression of the monasteries and convents between the XVIII and XIX centuries. Here, you will find the richest collection in the world of works of the Tuscan school, Florentine in particular, among which: Cimabue, Michelangelo, Giotto, Leonardo da Vinci and Raffaello. Without parallel is the collection of works by Sandro Botticelli. After the tour, you will have free time at your leisure. Overnight in Florence.
Day 6 – Florence: Food tour
Breakfast at the Hotel and get ready for this food tour together with your English speaking guide. Do you want to get a taste of some of the finest local products that the city has to offer? The Foodies tour is the one for you. Your tour will start at the San Lorenzo Market where you’ll have a taste of Tuscany’s “green gold”, it’s renowned olive oil, as well as a variety of cheese, salami and prosciutto, truffle sauces and oil and balsamic vinegar. After we’ll have a wine tasting where you will enjoy some of the region’s finest wines. Not full yet? Next stop will be at a local “fiaschetteria” where you will have a tasting of some of the city’s traditional recipes. The tour will finish with one of the finest gelato parlors of the city where you can pick your flavor made with genuine and fresh products. End of the tour and rest of day at leisure. Overnight in Florence.
Day 7 – Florence / Venice
After breakfast and check out at your hotel, you will reach, with a private taxi at your own expenses, Santa Maria Novella train station for departure to Venice where you will get in about 2 hours. At the train station in Venice you will have a reserved private taxi boat to reach the hotel in the center of Venice, near San Marco Square. Check in at Hotel Antiche Figure 3***S and rest of the day at your leisure. Overnight in Venice.
Day 8 – Venice walking tour and gondola ride with cicchetti tasting and Prosecco
After breakfast, meet at your hotel your private personal guide at the hotel and start a perfect tour for those who want to know the history of Venice starting from the most important site of the city: Saint Mark’s Square. The tour consists of a visit of Saint Mark’s Square and the explanation of its main monuments: Basilica (outside), Doge’s Palace (outside), Bridge of Sighs, Clock Tower, Bell Tower. At the end of the tour your guide will accompany you to the “stazio” to get your private gondola for a romantic and amazing ride around the neighborhood of San Tomà. Day 9 – Venice: Murano tour
After breakfast at your hotel, meet your private English-speaking water chauffeur and enjoy an exciting 4-hour boat excursion to Murano and Burano. As a guardian of the lagoon’s age-old traditions and manufacturing heritage, Murano plays an essential part in your Venice experience. Don’t miss the chance to discover the folklore, customs and secrets handed down from generation to generation of this treasure island and plunge into its timeless, magical atmosphere. This memorable excursion begins as you dock at the world-famous Murano island which boasts a long and still-thriving tradition dating back to 1291, when glass artisans moved their kilns from the old city center for fear of fires. You will have the unique opportunity to visit a glass factory for an exclusive presentation of glass making. This is your chance to observe at close quarters the skill of artisans as they forge objects of art employing techniques past down through generations. Day 10 – Venice departure
