1

Day 1 – Milan: Arrival

Upon arrival at the Airport in Milan, you will be met by your private English speaking driver for a direct transfer to your centrally located hotel: Hotel Rosa Grand 4****. We will book 1 double superior room. Check in and rest of the day at leisure. The Rosa Grand is an elegant 4-star hotel in the heart of Milan, a short distance from its main cultural and historic attractions, as well as the fashion district of the city. This original, eclectic bulding features large ambiences and large spaces and innovative, valuable materials. Day 2 – Milan: Walking tour

After breakfast at your hotel, meet your private English speaking guide for a walking tour of the city. Together with your guide, you will discover the cathedral, the main church of the city, home to the famous "Madunina", the golden statue of the Virgin Mary that inspired one of Milan's most popular folk songs. Close by the famous Vittorio Emanuele Gallery where various elegant shops, restaurants, bars, coffee shops, bookstores, clothes and the best shops windows are located and which entice the attention of the locals and tourists alike, together with Via Montenapoleone and Via della Spiga; considered some of the best streets for Milanese luxury. Then, you will proceed towards the famous Teatro alla Scala (outside visit) and Castello Sforzesco. End of the tour and rest of the day at leisure.

Day 3 – Milan to Bellagio

After breakfast and check out from your hotel, meet your private English speaking driver and transfer to your hotel in Bellagio: Hotel Belvedere Bellagio 4****. We will book 1 Double Room with Lake View. Check in and rest of the day at leisure. Owned by 4 generations of women since 1880, Hotel Belvedere offers panoramic views of Lake Como. The private garden has a swimming pool with a hot tub. It also has a new spa with Turkish bath, sauna, therapeutic showers, and relaxation area. Face and body treatments are available in the spa area. Rooms, suites, and apartments are elegant and stylish, and each includes air conditioning and satellite TV. Most have a balcony or terrace with views of the grounds or the lake. The panoramic restaurant has a beautiful terrace with a superb view of the lake and mountains. It is open between April and October for lunch and dinner. Belvedere Hotel is a short walk from central Bellagio, a 15-minute walk from the marina, Villa Melzi and Villa Serbelloni.

Day 4 – Bellagio: Boat Tour

After breakfast at your hotel, you will meet your private English speaking skipper with a private boat to enjoy a beautiful tour of the lake. Whilst sailing you can admire the various beautiful villas and natural landscapes that only Lake Como can offer, such as Villa Balbianello and Villa Melzi. Villa Balbianello is a beautiful 16th century residence that is now under the ownership of the FAI (the Italian Foundation for the Environment) since 1988. This villa has been chosen also for some scenes included in the 17th movie of the 007 James Bond saga: ‘Casinò Royal’ of 2006 by Martin Campbell. Villa Melzi called Villa Gallarati Scotti, was formerly of the Melzi Family. This building with neoclassical features was built between 1810 and 1815 and designed by G. Albertolli. The extensive park, which runs down to the edge of the lake, surrounding the villa and scattered in between the trees, there are Egyptian, Etruscan - Roman, Renaissance and neoclassical Sculptures. At the end of the tour, you can relax at your hotel. Rest of the day at leisure.

Day 5 – From Bellagio to Venice

After breakfast and check out, you will meet your English speaking driver for a direct transfer to the Milan railway station, where you will catch your fast train to Venice. Upon your arrival in Venice you will you’re your English speaking assistant who will greet you and together, you will reach your private water taxi for transfer to your centrally located hotel: Hotel Ruzzini Palace 4****. We will book 1 double deluxe room. Check in and rest of the day at leisure. Ruzzini Palace Hotel is set in Campo Santa Maria Formosa, one of Venice's largest and oldest squares. This enchanting 18th century historic building has beautiful décor and is a 10 minute walk from Rialto. Day 6 – Venice: Walking tour with Private Gondola Ride with Cicchetti tasting

After breakfast at your hotel, meet your private English speaking guide for a perfect tour and discover the history of Venice starting from the most important site of the city: Saint Mark’s Square. The tour consists of a visit of Saint Mark’s Square and the explanation of its main monuments: Basilica (inside), Doge’s Palace (from outside), Bridge of Sighs, Clock Tower and the Bell Tower. After this historical tour, your guide will accompany you to the meeting point with your gondolier: we will book a unique Gondola Ride with special food experience just for you. The tour will start in Rio di San Polo and from here, you will explore the jewels of the undiscovered corners, with its numerous Palazzi and homes to the aristocracy, built in different architectural styles. During this pleasant ride, you will have a quick stop in front of a typical “Bacaro” and your waiter will bring you a bottle of Prosecco and the Venetian Cicchetti (classic Venetian appetizers) made with the best ingredients found in the city accompanied by well-known wines. You can savor them whilst sailing down the hidden canals of Venice, gliding along the canals with magical views and perspectives which only a gondola can give you. After the tour, you will have the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 8 – From Venice to Florence

After breakfast and check out from your hotel, meet your private English speaking driver with a water taxi and transfer to the railway station. Here, you will take your fast train to Florence. Upon arrival in Florence, you will be met by your private English speaking driver for a direct transfer to your hotel in Florence: Hotel Degli Orafi 4****. We will book 1 double executive room. Check in at the hotel and time to relax. The hotel, once an Augustine convent of the 13th century, is set beside the Uffizi Gallery, facing Florence's Ponte Vecchio and includes the ruins of an ancient medieval tower. The roof garden with bar offers views of the Cathedral. Breakfast is an American-style buffet and it is served daily in a former ballroom, with 19th-century frescoes and views of Arno River and Via dei Georgofili.

Day 9 – Florence: Walking Tour & Accademia Gallery

After breakfast at your hotel, you will meet your private English speaking guide and get ready for a pleasant walking tour of Florence. You will have the opportunity to observe from close up the priceless Duomo and the spectacular dome built by Brunelleschi, the largest brick dome in the world, stretching protectively over the Florentine Cathedral. You will also see its splendid bell tower: the famous Campanile of Giotto. Your leisurely walk will head towards the Accademia Gallery Museum where the most symbolic work of Michelangelo is housed: Il David, an expression of beauty and physical perfection. You will also find other sculptures by Michelangelo and a collection of Renaissance paintings: you will admire also the “Il Ratto delle Sabine” by Giambologna (The Rape of the Sabine Women), as well as “La Madonna ed il Bambino” (Madonna and Child) and “la Madonna del Mare” (Madonna of the Sea) by Botticelli. End of the tour and rest of the day at leisure.

Day 11 – Florence: Siena & San Gimignano with lunch

After breakfast at your hotel, meet your private English speaking driver and discover the Tuscan towns of Siena and San Gimignano. Upon arrival in Siena, you will be met by your private English speaking guide who will accompany you for a pleasant walking tour of the city. You will discover the Magnificent Piazza del Campo where twice a year (2 July and 16 August) a unique historical event takes place, that every citizen of Siena looks forward to: the Palio di Siena. You will learn about the history of the Contrade (ancient Sienese name for neighborhood) and visit the famous Cathedral of Siena, that houses some of the most important monuments of the European artistic panorama. During your tour, you will discover also the “gastronomic” Siena with a tasting of the locally produced “Panforte of Siena” and of “Ricciarelli biscuits, recipes dating back to the Middle Ages. At the end of the tour, you will reach your restaurant in Siena, where you can sample a menu carefully selected by the chef and comprising several courses made with the freshest traditional ingredients. After lunch, meet up again with your private English speaking driver and you will reach San Gimignano, the Medieval village that has been declared part of Unesco. Even with its 19th and 20th century renovations, the 13th and 14th century appearance has remained virtually intact and is one of the finest examples of town organization in all of Europe. The main attraction of San Gimignano are the 14 Medieval Towers that still stand today. The oldest is the Torre Rognosa, 51 meters high, while the tallest is the Torre del Podestà, also known as the Torre Grossa (Big Tower), standing 54 meters. In AD 1255 a law was passed that prohibited anyone to build a tower taller than the Torre Rognosa (which was the tallest at that time), while the two most important families – Ardinghelli and Salvucci - in order to show their power, had two towers built just 50 cm under the 54 meter limit. Together with your private English speaking guide, you will walk around this incredible town and discover all the unknown corners. Day 12 – From Florence to Rome

Day 13 - Rome: Vatican Tour

After breakfast at your hotel, you will meet your private English speaking driver and guide for a direct transfer to the Vatican Museums. There are no queues and no waiting as your specialist guide introduces you to the masterpieces of such great painters as Raffaello, and Michelangelo. This is one of the greatest art collections in the world, a collection gathered over many centuries by the Popes. You will be enthralled and enchanted by the Cortile della Pigna ("Court of the Pinecone"), the celebrated Raphael’s rooms and afterwards the stunning vision of the Sistine Chapel with frescoes by Michealangelo then proceed with direct access into Saint Peter's Basilica. After the visit, you will have the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 14 – Rome: Ancient Rome

After breakfast, meet your private English speaking driver and guide and reach the Ancient part of the town: the Colosseum and Roman Forum. With direct access to this remarkable landmark and no waiting in long lines, you will be awestruck even before entering. Once inside, your private guide will bring to life the ancient world of the various emperors, noblemen, aristocrats, gladiators and wild beasts that once populated this building. You will then be accompanied to the nearby Roman Forum, known as the "heart" of Ancient Rome, and the commercial, political and religious center. After the visit, rest of the day at leisure.

Day 15 – Rome: Free Day

Day 16 – Rome: Vespa Sidecar Tour

After breakfast at your hotel, you will meet your private English speaking guide and your sidecars and ready to drive through Quirinale Square. The Palace, the Obelisk and Fountain are protagonists along with the Panoramic view towards S.Pietro. Riding down Quirinal Hill, you will reach Fontana di Trevi. Without any hassle you will park the Sidecars and walk to the Fountain. You will then proceed towards Trinità dei Monti. This stop provides a beautiful panoramic view over Rome, as your guide narrates the Church’s history along with the Spanish Steps and Piazza di Spagna which you can look down upon with a unique perspective. The next stop will be in Piazza del Popolo , the Northern entrance way into the city since Roman times. Make your way towards St. Peters square where you can walk through the famous Bernini colonnade. Make your way up the windy hill for a spectacular view of Rome from the Gianicolo, a highlight that of the Vespa Sidecar, but hold on tight! On the way to the next stop you will drive you through Trastevere and Jewish ghetto, two important areas of Rome. Trastevere’s narrow streets lively colored by boutiques & trattorias and squares with street markets & cafés, allowing you to sense Rome’s authentic soul, going beyond the usual tourist attractions. The Jewish ghetto besides its beauty, is imbued in tangible main historical facts. The last stop will be at the Pantheon, where you will visit the inside. See it to believe it. For afternoon riders this stop also combines a happy Gelato. You will not miss driving through the central hub of the Capital, Piazza Venezia, where you can get an idea of where to shop down the main via del Corso and also the via dei Fori Imperiali. Finally, you will briefly stop your vehicles between the Colosseum and the Palatine Hill and follow up hill to the Church of Saint Mary Major, which you can circumnavigate listening to the stories of the miracles & legends of this important Church. End of the tour and rest of the day at leisure.

Day 17 – Rome to Sorrento with stop in Pompeii

Breakfast and check out from the hotel. Meet your private English speaking driver for a direct transfer to the central train station. With a direct train, you will arrive in Naples in about 1 hour and a half. Upon arrival, you will meet your private English speaking driver who will be ready to accompany you to Pompeii, where you will be greeted by your English speaking guide for a tour of the excavations. You will admire the ruins of this famous city that, in AD 79 was submerged by lava and ashes from the nearby volcanic eruption of Mt. Vesuvius. You will be able to examine close up the daily life of this Roman population and how it was devastated by one of the worst natural disasters in ancient history. The excavations of Pompeii are, due to their importance and relevance, the most visited archeological site in the world. Free time for lunch on your own, to be paid on the spot. After lunch, meet up again with your driver and transfer you to your hotel in Sorrento: Hotel Corallo 4****. We will book 1 Double Superior Room with Sea view. Check in and rest of the day at leisure. Located in the town of Sant’Agnello, just 2 km from the center of Sorrento, the Hotel Corallo is built on a cliff on the sea, with scenic terraces overlooking the Gulf of Naples, Mount Vesuvius and the Sorrento Peninsula. An elegant aristocratic home, the hotel was once a meeting point for intellectuals and artists, such as writer Luigi Pirandello, who stayed there in the Thirties. Day 18 – Sorrento: Amalfi Coast Tour

After breakfast, you will meet your private English speaking driver and get ready for a full day tour on the Amalfi coast. He will drive you to the enchanting route of the “Divine Coast”: along the way, you will have stops from panoramic viewpoints to take some breathtaking pictures. Then, you will have time to discover and relax on the top of Positano, a small village with Mediterranean styled pure white washed houses covered with bright pink bougainvillea. On the way to Amalfi, you will visit a Ceramic shop in Conca dei Marini and discover the beautiful locally made pottery. At the end of your visit, your driver will bring you to Amalfi, one of the oldest Maritime Republics. At lunch time, you will have some free time at leisure. After lunch, you will enjoy a tour of the town and admire the magnificent and imposing facade of the cathedral of Saint Andrea with her unique Arab Norman and Romanesque Style. Day 20 – Sorrento: Cooking Class with lunch

Today you will spend a pleasant and exciting day in the countryside of Sorrento (approximately 10 km drive) for a special gourmand experience. Silence and beauty are the two main words that describe this farmhouse holiday spot in Sorrento. A true farmhouse where products from the garden are cultivated by local farmers and brought fresh to the table. Those who wish to participate in farm activities like this are more than welcome. A small hill immersed between sea and land where days go by slowly and you can totally forget the noisy city chaos. In the farmhouse, you will find the hidden side of the Amalfi Coast, made of strong citrus plant aromas, small paths through the beautiful landscapes which bring you straight down to the beach, experiencing it all at a slow and easy farmhouse pace. After breakfast, meet your private English speaking driver at your hotel and transfer to your cooking class. Upon arrival, you will visit the farmhouse and the kitchen and then, together with your private English speaking chef-guide, you will pick your vegetables from the garden: with these ingredients, you will create a typical menu. The chef will show you how to create tasty pasta dishes, incorporating her own special recipes.
