Herculaneum is the only example in the world of an ancient city which remained intact whole wooden structures of the houses and furnishings of daily use. After this first visit we will reserve a table for you in a lovely restaurant just by the archeological site of Pompeii where you can enjoy a little rest and a delicious lunch. Meet up again with your private guide after lunch and start your visit of the fascinating and ancient town of Pompeii and the unique excavations. The Tuscan style of the rooms lend many of its features to the Mediterranean style: the use of stone, the same Roman arched windows and doors, and even more warm colored roofs and homes are distinctive to this style. Three houses of this hamlet have been completely redesigned to accommodate guests in an atmosphere of understated luxury. All rooms are spacious and beautifully furnished with fine, local antiques and en-suite marble bathrooms. You can also enjoy the beautiful landscaped swimming pool and an authentic four-course dinner prepared by a local chef.

One of the most attractive views in Chianti can be seen only if you go to the piazza of the little village of Lamole, an ancient rural settlement that is situated on the top of a hill, with the buildings of the hamlet encircling the Romanesque church of San Donato. It is here that your voyage to discover Chianti Classico begins: a visit to the Piazza and to the Church is followed by a detailed description of the unique characteristics of this terrain and of organic vine-growing practices, demonstrated directly in Campolungo Vineyard. This introduction is accompanied by a welcoming glass of sparkling wine, with a breathtaking view over Chianti Classico area. A brief walk through the vineyards will bring guests to the winery and afterwards visit the Vinsantaia, where one of the iconic products of Chianti Classico slowly matures: Vinsanto, with its very traditional method of production. Built by order of the Pope Pio II – Enea Silvio Piccolomini , done completely in Renaissance style, as the Pope had decided to transform his home town in a beautiful place for him and his court to be protected and relaxed near the water risings of Valdorcia. Pienza is also the capital city of the “Pecorino” – sheep cheese. The milk is particularly aromatic because of the configuration of the clayey land where many aromatic herbs grow, where their sheep all graze freely, producing a unique perfumed milk and cheese. Pienza Pecorino cheese has the D.O.P. European label (which means a Protected Origin Denomination). Pecorino cheese and Brunello di Montalcino are undoubtedly the perfect match!
