Day 1– Rome Arrival / Cortona
As soon as you arrive at the Airport in Rome, you will be greeted by your private
English speaking driver and direct transfer to Cortona in Tuscany, at your charming
countryside resort: Relais il Falconiere 5*****. Check in and time to rest.
In the afternoon, we will reserve for you a unique experience: a cooking class that will increase your natural love for food and provide you with the skills you need to translate this love into beautiful and imaginative cuisine. This experience will add a pinch of Tuscan life style to your vacation working with the chef! You will discover the secrets of the true Tuscan cuisine: you will prepare homemade pasta, desserts and many other dishes, before sitting down to enjoy the result of your funny work. Overnight in Cortona.
Day 2– Montalcino and Montepulciano MIDDAY TOUR & WINELOVER’S LUNCH
After breakfast meet your English speaking driver at the lobby of your hotel in Florence and get ready for a splendid day where you will discover Montalcino and Montepulciano wine region. You will be chauffeured in luxury car to one of the most famous wineries close to Montalcino , as a start. The classic tour is a great introduction to Brunello di Montalcino region and to the wines produced in this area. Explore the process “from grape to wine” while visiting the cellars and the ageing room. The tour will make you experience the exclusive “Members’ Cellar”, before enjoying a tasting of four wines, including Brunello di Montalcino and the “Millecento” Brunello Riserva. During the tasting, you will be served grissini and water.
End of tour and proceed towards Montepulciano for another beautiful wine experience . The midday winery tour starts at 12pm (for a 3 hours visit) with a visit to the estate vineyards to reflect on the importance of terroir. Then move to the ageing cellars and the Vinsantaia, concluding with a four-course wine-paired gourmet meal in the elegant and panoramic Terrace overlooking the countryside and vineyards.
End of tour and return back to Florence in the afternoon.
Day 3– Cortona / Florence
After breakfast and check out, meet your private English speaking driver for a direct transfer to Florence, directly at your historical hotel: Palazzo Niccolini al Duomo 4****. Check in and rest of the day at your leisure.
In the evening we will reserve for you a table in a really nice restaurant near Piazza della Signoria (7 minutes walking from your hotel), here you will be able to try a really tasty menu carefully selected for you by the chef, including wine pairing. The respect for tradition and openness to experimentation is reflected in the menu based on the Tuscan-inspired foods evolved over centuries of good eating. Served alongside the fine wines that have made the labels famous around the world, you will experience a place where food and wine provide the perfect backdrop to inspiring memories. Day 4– Florence Walking tour, Uffizi Gallery and Accademia Gallery
After breakfast, meet your private English speaking guide at the lobby of the hotel and start the walking guided visit of Florence. Your morning tour will proceed to the discovery of the Dome that was begun in 1296 in the Gothic style with the design of Arnoldo di Cambio and completed structurally in 1436 with the dome engineered by Filippo Brunelleschi. The exterior of the basilica is faced with polychrome marble panels in various shades of green and pink bordered by white and has an elaborate 19th-century Gothic revival façade. The cathedral complex, located in Piazza del Duomo includes the Baptistery and Giotto’ s Campanile. Then you will proceed with the wonderful Uffizi Gallery which houses a superb collection of priceless art, originating in great part from the Medici family collection, enriched over the centuries by endowments, exchanges and donations, among which an important group of religious works stands out, resulting from the suppression of the monasteries and convents between the XVIII and XIX centuries. Here, you will find the richest collection in the world of works of the Tuscan school, Florentine in particular, among which: Cimabue, Michelangelo, Giotto, Leonardo da Vinci and Raffaello. Without parallel is the collection of works by Sandro Botticelli. Lunch will be at leisure. After lunch, meet again your private English speaking guide and together you will proceed to Santa Maria Novella and the discovery of the Accademia Gallery, where the more symbolic work of Michelangelo is housed: Il David, an expression of beauty and physical perfection. It also has other sculptures by Michelangelo and a collection of Renaissance paintings: you will admire also the “Il Ratto delle Sabine” by Giambologna (The Rape of the Sabine Women), as well as “La Madonna ed il Bambino” (Madonna and Child) and “la Madonna del Mare” (Madonna of the Sea) by Botticelli. At the end of the tour, you will have the rest of the day at your leisure.
Day 5– Florence Food Tour
Breakfast at the Hotel and get ready for this food tour together with your English speaking guide. Do you want to get a taste of some of the finest local products that the city has to offer? The Foodies tour is the one for you. Your tour will start at the San Lorenzo Market where you’ll have a taste of Tuscany’s “green gold”, it’s renowned olive oil, as well as a variety of cheese, salami and prosciutto, truffle sauces and oil and balsamic vinegar. After we’ll have a wine tasting where you will enjoy some of the region’s finest wines. Not full yet? Next stop will be at a local “fiaschetteria” where you will have a tasting of some of the city’s traditional recipes. The tour will finish with one of the finest gelato parlors of the city where you can pick your flavor made with genuine and fresh products.
Day 6– Florence / Naples / Pompeii / Sorrento
After breakfast and check out at your hotel, you will meet your personal English speaking driver who will escort you directly to the railway in Florence for departure by fast train to Naples. Here, meet your private English speaking driver who will transfer you to Positano. Along the way, you will stop in Pompeii for an excursion at the excavations. Here, together with your private English speaking guide, you will visit the archeological site and admire the ruins of this famous city that, in AD 79 was submerged by lava from the nearby volcanic eruption of Mt Vesuvius. You will be able to examine up close the daily life of this Roman population and how it was devastated by one of the worst natural disasters in ancient history. The excavations of Pompeii are, due to their importance and relevance, the most visited archeological site in the world. After the visit, lunch will be served in a typically restaurant, where you taste local dishes.After lunch, your private driver will accompany you to your charming hotel in Positano: Hotel Buca di Bacco 4****.
Day 7– Capri with luxury Private motor boat
Today, you will have the chance to enjoy the splendid sea surrounding the strip of land that is the Sorrentina Peninsula and discover the secrets of the Island of Capri. Your personal driver will meet you at the hotel and will bring you to the port where you will embark on your private boat with private English speaking Skipper and transfer to Capri. During the journey you are able to breathe in the healthy brackish sea water while admiring the gorgeous coast. Only a boat trip among the most beautiful views of the island, many of which are inaccessible on land, can offer a complete visit of Capri. By boat, in fact, you can reach small hidden coves where you can swim or get a suntan and enjoy the full the beauty of the island. The excursion includes the trip around the island so to appreciate at its best the beautiful sceneries, like the Faraglioni Rocks, the numerous caves like the White Grotto, the Emerald Grotto and the Blue Grotto, famous all over the world for its intense azure color, “Tiberius’s Leap”, where, according to legend, the Roman emperor used to throw down to the rocks disobedient servants and unwelcome guests. Day 8– Private tour of the Amalfi Coast / Amalfi and Ravello
After breakfast at your hotel, you will meet your personal English speaking driver for a full day tour along the Amalfi Coast. He will drive you to the enchanting rout of the “Divine Coast”: along the way, you will have stops for panoramic viewpoint to make some breathtaking pictures. On the way to Amalfi, you will visit a Ceramic shop in Conca dei Marini. At the end of your visit, your driver will bring you to the nearby Amalfi, one of the oldest maritime republics. Here you will have free time to wander through the labyrinthine streets and admire the magnificent and imposing facade of the cathedral of Saint Andrea with her unique Arab Norman and Romanesque Style. Later, your driver will escort you to Ravello where you will have a gourmet lunch on a wonderful terrace on the top of the hill, with a stunning sea view. Day 9– Positano / Herculaneum / Rome
After your breakfast and check out at the hotel, you will meet your personal English speaking driver for a direct transfer to Herculaneum. Here you will meet your private English speaking guide and begin your visit: this city was destroyed along with Pompeii by the eruption of Vesuvius in 79 AD and was covered by a layer of mud and lava that created over time, a layer of tuff high, in some places more than 20 meters. Herculaneum is the only example in the world of an ancient
city which remained intact whole wooden structures of the houses and furnishings of daily use.
After this unique visit your driver will accompany you directly to your hotel in Rome: Marriott Grand Hotel Flora 4**** (directly booked by you).
Day 10– Exclusive visit to Domus Romana
After lunch you will meet your private English speaking driver, for a transfer to a unique site for living a unique experience. In this unique “museum” you will discover the fascinating remains of the patrician "Domus" of imperial Rome, belonging to powerful families, with mosaics, wall decorations, polychrome floors, paving blocks, and other remains, has been further enhanced by a project curated by Piero Angela and a team of experts, including Paco Lanciano and Gaetano Capasso, who have recreated the past with virtual reconstructions, graphics and videos. Visitor can see walls, rooms, peristyles, kitchens, baths, furnishings and decorations all come back to life, taking a virtual tour of a great Domus of ancient Rome. A new important sector has been added to the archaeological zone and museum. Finally, a virtual reconstruction of the Traian column gives you a close up look at the bas-reliefs and the story they tell of Trajan’s military campaign: the conquest of Dacia, present day Romania. An extraordinary event that ended with the death of King Decebalus and the emperor’s triumph.

Day 11– Rome, Vatican Museum and Sistine Chapel
After breakfast at the hotel, meet your English speaking guide and your personal driver at the lobby for a direct transfer to the Vatican Museum. There are no queues and no waiting in long lines as your specialist guide introduces you to the masterpieces of such great painters as Raffaello and Michelangelo. Day 12– Capuchin Crypt and Ancient Rome guided tour with lunch
After breakfast meet your English speaking guide at the lobby and start your day with a visit to the Capuchin Church, in a walking distance from your hotel.
The crypt, or ossuary, now contains the remains of 4,000 friars buried between 1500 and 1870, during which time the Roman Catholic Church permitted burial in and under churches. The underground crypt is divided into five chapels, lit only by dim natural light seeping in through cracks, and small fluorescent lamps. The crypt walls are decorated with the remains in elaborate fashion, making this crypt a macabre work of art. Some of the skeletons are intact and draped with Franciscan habits, but for the most part, individual bones are used to create elaborate ornamental designs.
At the end of this tour, you will meet your private driver for a direct transfer to the Ancient part of the Eternal city: Colosseum and Roman Forum.
