Day 5– Florence:  half day tour to Pisa

Day 5– Florence: Walking Tour with Food Tour & Accademia Gallery

After breakfast at your hotel, meet your private English speaking guide and start a walking guided tour of Florence. You will have the opportunity to observe up close the priceless Dome (Duomo) by Brunelleschi, the largest brick dome in the world, stretching protectively over the Florence Cathedral. You will also see its splendid bell tower: the famous Campanile of Giotto. Next stop will be the political center of the city that will open its doors, offering you the chance to visit the Palazzo della Signoria, seat of the secularists' power with the Palazzo Vecchio, seat of the municipality, as well as the oldest "piazza" (square) in Florence, Piazza della Repubblica, surrounded today, by historic cultural cafès, where young intellectual Florentines like to gather. Your walking will leads you to the nearby San Lorenzo Market, where you will have a taste of Tuscany’s “green gold”, its renowned olive oil, as well as a variety of cheese, salami and prosciutto, truffle sauces and oil and balsamic vinegar. You will have also wine tasting where you will enjoy some of the region’s finest wines. Not full yet? Next stop will be at a local “fiaschetteria” where you will have a tasting of some of the city’s traditional recipes. The tour will finish in grand style with one of the finest gelato parlors of the city where you can pick your flavor made with genuine and fresh products. After this culinary experience, you will be ready to discover the Accademia Gallery Museum where the more symbolic work of Michelangelo is housed: Il David, an expression of beauty and physical perfection. It also has other sculptures by Michelangelo and a collection of Renaissance paintings: you will admire also the “Il Ratto delle Sabine” by Giambologna (The Rape of the Sabine Women), as well as “La Madonna ed il Bambino” (Madonna and Child) and “la Madonna del Mare” (Madonna of the Sea) by Botticelli. Day 6– Florence: Siena & San Gimignano

After breakfast at your hotel, meet your private English speaking driver and discover the Tuscan towns of Siena and San Gimignano. Upon arrival in Siena, you will meet your private English speaking guide who will accompany you for a pleasant walking tour of the city. You will discover the Magnificent Piazza del Campo where twice a year (2 July and 16 August) an event, that every citizen of Siena looks forward to , takes place: the Palio di Siena. You will learn about the history of the Contrade (ancient Sienese name for neighborhood) and visit the famous Cathedral of Siena, that houses some of the most important monuments of the European artistic panorama. At the end of the tour, you will reach your restaurant in Siena, where you will sample a menu carefully selected by the chef and comprising several courses made with the freshest traditional ingredients.

After lunch, meet again your private English speaking driver and together you will reach San Gimignano, the Medieval village that has been declared a World Heritage Site. Even with its 19th and 20th century renovations, its 13th and 14th century appearance has remained intact and is one of the finest examples of town organization in all of Europe. The main attraction of San Gimignano is the 16 Medieval Towers that still stand today. The oldest is the Torre Rognosa, 51 meters high, while the tallest is the Torre del Podestà, also known as the Torre Grossa (Big Tower), standing 54 meters. In AD 1255 a law was passed that prohibited the building of any tower to superceide the height of the Torre Rognosa (which was the tallest at that time), while the two most important families – Ardinghelli and Salvucci - in order to demonstrate their power, had two towers built just 50 cm under the 54 meter limit. Together with your personal English speaking guide, you will walk in the city and discover the unknown corners of the town. Day 2 – Private tour of the Amalfi Coast

After breakfast at your hotel, you will meet your personal English speaking driver for a full day tour along the Amalfi Coast. He will drive you to the enchanting rout of the “Divine Coast”: along the way, you will have stops for panoramic viewpoint to make some breathtaking pictures. Then, you will have free time to discover and relax on the top of Positano, a small village with Mediterranean styled pure white houses with bougainvillea plants that cover part of the facades. On the way to Amalfi, you will visit a Ceramic shop in Conca dei Marini. At the end of your visit, your driver will bring you to the nearby Amalfi, one of the oldest maritime republics. Day 3 – Sorrento/Capri, full day tour in Capri

Breakfast at the hotel. On this day, you will have the chance to enjoy the splendid sea surrounding the strip of land that is the Sorrentina Peninsula and discover the secrets of the Island of Capri. You’ll get to the port with your English speaking driver for embarkation on the Ferry boat for a transfer to Capri (approx. 30 minutes). During the journey you will be able to breathe in the healthy brackish sea water while admiring the gorgeous Sorrento Coast. Day 1 – Palermo arrival

Arrival at Palermo airport. Pick up by private English speaking driver and transfer to Hotel Excelsior Palace Mercure 4****. Spend the rest of the day at your own leisure. Overnight in Palermo.

Day 2 – Palermo walking tour

Breakfast in hotel. Meet your guide at hotel and start your Walking tour. The itinerary begins with a morning visit of the Capo market, the oldest in Palermo, where you can see and taste famous Palermo Street Food such as “panelle”, “arancine”, “crocchette” and “PaniCaMeusa”. Admire colorful stalls featuring an abundance of fruit, vegetables, seafood and meats as the sellers’ cry for our attention. Then, visit Palermo that stretches along a beautiful bay on the Tyrrhenian Sea. Founded by the Phoenicians in the VIIth and VIIIth centuries B.C., the city was conquered by Arabs in 831, and a period of immense prosperity commenced. You will be enchanted by the city’s wide boulevards, traditional Sicilian Old Quarter, and baroque palaces. You will then visit the city's main sights, including the Norman section, Quattro Canti di Citta (the Four Corners of the City), Palermo's extravagant baroque square and the twelfth-century Duomo (Cathedral). After this you will take a taxi at your own expenses to visit Monreale, and to discover the Arab-Norman splendour of the Cathedral and Cloister. This nearby treasure dates from the 12th century and shows the diverse architectural influences of both the Normans and the Arab population. Finally, you will return to your hotel. Afternoon at leisure. Overnight stay.

Day 3 – Segesta - Erice

In the morning, we will head to Segesta, for the guided Tour of the Temple and the Tether. You will continue to Erice, a magical, medieval town perched atop Monte San Giuliano overlooking the city of Trapani, the Egadi Islands and the famous saltpans where sea salt is made. The views from this mountain top village are breathtaking, and on a clear day, you can see the African coast. Visit the Norman Castle and Duomo as you walk through the cobble-stoned streets of the town, taking in the fresh air and a variety of aromas emanating from the numerous pastry shops for which Erice is known. In fact, we will stop to visit Maria Grammatico’s famous pastry shop to see the variety of sweets she lovingly creates. After visit your driver will accompany you to your hotel in Agrigento: Hotel Baglio della Luna 4****. Check in and free time at your leisure.

Day 4 – Agrigento, Valley of The Temples

After breakfast, meet your private guide at the hotel, and together take a taxi at your own expenses to reach the superb archaeological park, the Valley of the Temples. If there is one thing to see in all of Sicily, Agrigento’s stunning temples would be it. Private guided tour of the Valley of the Temples. You will visit all of the iconic temples including Juno, Concord, and Castor and Pollux. At the end of the tour you will be free to enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure. Overnight in Agrigento.

Day 5 – Piazza Armerina

Breakfast at the estate and check out. Then, you will be transferred to Piazza Armerina to visit on your own the mosaics of the Roman Villa del Casale, named after an agricultural settlement known as “Casale”, or farmhouse, that flourished there in the 15th century. This beautiful Roman Villa consists of 3,500 square meters of mosaic pavement, still perfectly intact. It may have also been a hunting lodge and a location to entertain important guests. The mosaics include a 60-meter-long hunting scene, in which groups of men struggle and sweat as they capture ferocious animals in India and North Africa before transporting them to Rome for gladiator games. Transfer to Siracusa and accommodation at Antico Hotel Roma 4*. Overnight stay in a classic room.

Day 6 – Siracusa

Today you will be free to enjoy Siracusa at your leisure.

Day 7 – Taormina

Breakfast at the hotel and check out. Transfer to Taormina at Hotel Isabella 3*. Check in and free time at leisure. After lunch meet at your hotel and enjoy a 3h guided walking city tour. Founded by the Greeks in 358 B.C.. Taormina was occupied by the Romans and then fell into Byzantine hands. The little town is located on the East coast of Sicily, overlooking the Ionian Sea. Taormina is called the “Pearl of the Mediterranean” for several reasons: nestled on Mount Tauro, it offers the beauty of Mediterranean architecture all the while surrounded by endless magnificent views of both sea and mountains. Thanks to its high position in altitude, Taormina offers visitors a breathtaking panorama. From its Greek theatre, you can admire the bay of Giardini Naxos and Mount Etna, the highest active volcano in Europe, while on the other side you can gaze out over the coastline toward Messina and view the proximity of the Calabrian coast. Overnight stay at Hotel Isabella 3* in classic room.

Day 8 – Volcano and Etna wine tasting and lunch

Breakfast at the hotel. Pick up by your naturalistic driver guide. Explore Mount Etna, the largest active volcano in Europe. Discovering Mount Etna is one of the greatest adventure tours in Sicily, not only for the volcanic phenomena but also forthe different kinds of vegetation visible during the ascent. This volcano has more than 400 craters, split all over the Catania county. The first stop of the tour is Valle del Bove, a wide valleylocated on the eastern slope of the volcano. Valle del Bove is part of the protected area of the Etna Regional Park. Proceeding, you will go through old lava flows that date back to 1979 until you reach Mount Fontana, 1300meters above the sea level. This is a great panoramic point, from which you can admire the majesty of the valley and of the Monti Sartorius. Afterwards, a short walk will lead you to the craters of the Sartorius Mountains, which date back to 1865 and are characterized by seven little eruptive cones. Halfway down from the top, you will reach another panoramic point which offers a breathtaking view of the Ionian Coast, from Riposto to Taormina and a glimpse of the Calabrian Coast, of the North-East crater and of the latest new lava flows and craters of 2002. Lunch will be served in a exclusive Etna Doc Winery. Return to Hotel.

Day 9 – Catania airport

Breakfast at the hotel. Pick up and transfer to the airport of Catania to get your flight back home.

Day 1 – Venice: Arrival

Day 2 – Venice, Walking tour

Breakfast at the hotel. Then, you will meet your private English speaking guide and begin the walking city tour. The heart of Venice is a square: Saint Mark's Square. Entering in San Marco square by the two monumental columns in front of the lagoon (the so-called “water square”), near the Bridge of Sighs, suddenly we can admire the history of the Republic of Venice displayed: we can see the Doge’s Palace (from outside), seat of government and center of political and administrative life of the city, the Basilica (from inside), with its golden mosaics and precious marbles, the Clock Tower and the Bell Tower. The walk then leads to the Grand Canal and to the famous Rialto Bridge through beautiful and hidden corners. At the end of your tour you will have the rest of the day at your leisure. Overnight in Venice.

Day 3 – Venice / Florence

After breakfast and check out at your hotel, your private water taxi will be available for a transfer to the railway station. Here, you will take a fast train to Florence where you will get in about 2 hours. Upon arrival, you will reach your accommodation on your own: Hotel Monna Lisa 4****. Check in at the hotel and rest of the day at your leisure. Overnight in Florence.

Day 4 – Florence: walking city tour and Uffizi Gallery

After breakfast you will meet your personal guide at your hotel who will bring you leisurely on a walking tour of the city center, including the visit at the Uffizi Gallery. The Gallery houses a superb collection of priceless art, originating in great part from the Medici family collection, enriched over the centuries by endowments, exchanges and donations, among which an important group of religious works stands out, resulting from the suppression of the monasteries and convents between the XVIII and XIX centuries. Here, you will find the richest collection in the world of works of the Tuscan school, Florentine in particular, among which: Cimabue, Michelangelo, Giotto, Leonardo da Vinci and Raffaello. Without parallel is the collection of works by Sandro Botticelli. After the tour, you will have free time at your leisure. Overnight in Florence.

Day 5 – Florence: Montepulciano and Montalcino

After a gourmet breakfast at your hotel, you will be ready for a splendid day: you will discover Montepulciano and Montalcino. You will be chauffeured in luxury car from the magnificent medieval village of Montepulciano and taken to one of the most famous wineries in the region, home to the Vino Nobile di Montepulciano (meticulously produced with 100% Sangiovese grapes: those that the Tuscans define as “the true table wine”). Here, you will be able to visit the historic cellars that dates back to the 16th century and visiting them is like stepping back time. The brick passageways contain a series of vaults and niches where the barrels are placed. Inside the Historic Cellar, there are huge oak barrels where Vino Nobile di Montepulciano is aged for two years and three years for the Vino Nobile Riserva. After the visit, you will taste the wines, guided by an expert wine steward and accompanied by a variety of delicious local delicacies including local products, coldcuts and aged Pecorino from Pienza. After this visit, continue to another marvelous village: Montalcino. Here you will enjoy a winery that is the first winery in Italy with a full female staff, that produces one of the best Brunello di Montalcino of the area. Enjoy a visit of the winery, which we hope will leave you with lasting memories of this day and the flavors that have tantalized your palate, and, of course have a wine tasting with their marvelous wines, including the renowned Brunello Riserva. After the visit you have a light lunch with the delicious and typical Tuscan dishes. Transfer back in the afternoon with your private driver to your hotel. Overnight in Sorrento.

Day 6 – Florence / Sorrento

After breakfast and check out, meet your private English speaking driver at your hotel and transfer to Florence railway station for your fast train to Naples. Meet here your English speaking driver for a direct transfer to your hotel in Sorrento: Maison Tofani 4****. Check in and rest of the day at your leisure. Overnight in Sorrento.

Day 7 – Sorrento: Amalfi coast tour

After breakfast at your hotel, you will meet your personal English speaking driver for a full day tour along the Amalfi Coast. Along the way, you will have stops for panoramic viewpoint to make some breathtaking pictures. Then, you will have free time to discover and relax on the top of Positano, a small village with Mediterranean styled pure white houses with bougainvillea plants that cover part of the facades. At the end of your visit, your driver will bring you to the nearby Amalfi, one of the oldest maritime republics. Here, you will have free time for lunch, at your leisure. You can choose a lunch overlooking the sea or in a typical little Italian “piazza” surrounded by typically southern Italian scenery. After lunch, free time to wander through the labyrinthine streets and admire the magnificent and imposing facade of the cathedral of Saint Andrea with her unique Arab Norman and Romanesque Style. Later, your driver will escort you to Ravello for relaxing moments on the pittoresque square where you will admire the magnificent panorama who inspired poets, philosophers and beauty lovers of any time. After this tour, your driver will be ready to take you back to your hotel in Sorrento. Rest of the day at your leisure. Overnight in Sorrento.

Day 8 – Sorrento free day

Today you will be free to explore the area at your leisure. We suggest you to visit the wonderful island of Capri, really a jewel of this area. You can easily buy the public ferry tickets at Sorrento’s port. Overnight in Sorrento.

Day 9 – Naples / Rome

After breakfast and check out at your hotel, meet your private English speaking driver for a direct transfer to the railway station in Naples. With a fast train, you will reach Rome in about 1 hour and 15 minute. Upon arrival, you will be free to reach your hotel on your own: Hotel Romanico Palace 4****. Check in and rest of the day at your leisure. Overnight in Rome.

Day 10 – Rome: Vatican Museums or Ancient Rome and highlights of Rome

After breakfast at your hotel, meet your driver-guide and together, you will discover the most important highlights of Rome: Fontana di Trevi, famous all over the world and immortalized in various films. Here you will be able to partake in the local legend: if you throw a coin into the water from over your shoulder, then you are certain to come back to Rome. From here, you will head to the Spanish Steps and its Barcaccia and then to Piazza del Pantheon, also adorned with a magnificent fountain. The final stop will be at Piazza Navona, where you will be able to admire three very famous fountains: Fontana del Moro, Fontana del Nettuno and Fontana dei Quattro Fiumi. There is a popular legend around this fountain: the River- God representing the Rio della Plata appears to be covering his own eyes, as if the sculpture was fearing about a collapse of the bell tower of the church of Sant’Agnese in Agone built by Bernini's rival, Borromini). At the end of the tour, you will have some free time for lunch.
