You will have the chance to become acquainted with the capital in all of its facets: historically, with its monuments beyond description known throughout the entire world and its old villages in the Latium countryside, religiously, visiting the capital of Christianity with the Vatican Museum and Saint Peter's Basilica.

With its traditional dishes laid out on the tables, accompanied by good wine from the Castelli, artistically, thanks to the priceless Bernini fountains that stand out in our "piazze", by night, through the soft and radiant light of unparalleled sunsets.

On this tour you will discover some of the secrets of Roman cuisine from a famous master chef, in one of the Eternal City's most unique settings.

Your driver will collect you from your hotel to take you to Castel Gandolfo, a pretty town in the 'Castelli' area, a short journey south of Rome. Once you have arrived, you will be welcomed into one of the most famous restaurants in the Latium region, having been run by the same family since 1882. Here, together with the chef, you will be able to try your hand at preparing three different types of pasta which are fundamental to a typical Roman menu: "gnocchi", "fettuccine" and "ravioli".

Not only will you learn how to roll out the dough the old fashioned way (with a rolling pin), but also how to pair every type of pasta with a sauce that enhances its flavor. Following your lesson you will be able to taste the meal you have prepared, accompanied by a traditional second course, wine and dessert, on the terrace with one of the city's most breath-taking views. This location is also a well-known destination of the international jet-set. Robert De Niro enjoyed the owner Papà Aurelio's gelato and an assortment of homemade desserts. Nicolas Cage had a candlelight dinner in the restaurant's garden and tried the "zuppa del marinaio" and after dinner visited the labyrinthine wine cellar where over 40,000 bottles of wine are stored, while Catherine Zeta Jones enjoyed a candle light dinner, happily exclaiming, "I love Rome and I will remember this beautiful, romantic dinner in Italy forever".

After lunch, you will be accompanied back to your hotel, having had a memorable experience that will remain long with you.

Your journey begins on horseback from the center of Rome through the Parco dell'Appia Antica along the Appian Way, the earliest and strategically most important Roman road. It is this famous road that probably resulted in the expression "all roads lead to Rome". You will be able to soak up the atmosphere, reliving the sensations from 2,000 years ago where travelers journeyed to the heart of the Roman Empire from ancient Greece.

In fact, soon after dismounted your horse, our friend, Sandro will offer you the traditional good glass of wine and taste of local food, just before stopping at a traditional Roman restaurant to enjoy some local cuisine.

After lunch, returning to Rome by car, you will visit the site of the most historical games of ancient Rome, the Circus Maximus, followed by a stop at the Bocca della Verità (the Mouth of Truth)...knowing full well that at this point you have nothing more to hide.

We are sure that you will return home with a unique experience to tell to your friends and family.
